Welcome to my new home at - Blogspot? (Yes, Really)
This week, I began a second phase of a revamped social media plan: I moved all my blog content to blogspot. You're probably thinking "What in the [censored] " and I don't blame you. I was surprised when I made the decision, so l et me tell you the story of how I got here. I didn’t move my personal blog to blogspot because I’m abandoning open‑source values. Nor did I suddenly decide that Google is a benevolent steward of tech. Blogs are here for one reason: visibility on search. Why is that a big deal? Let's look at why I publish. My purpose on the web is to advocate for those who can't : consumers, patients and others who don't know where to get the information they need to advocate for themselves. That requires reach: putting bone dry content out where it can be consumed and used . Not cute cat videos or dance moves, but instructions, resources and how-tos. While I hope to build a far-reaching network, it's just me starting out. Good ad...
